On June 7th, 2019, the Kentucky Labor Cabinet visited Calvert City, Kentucky to present Sekisui Specialty Chemicals America, LLC, with the Governor’s Safety and Health Award. This award signifies the achievement of 1,896,408 hours worked by Sekisui employees without experiencing a lost-time injury or illness. The Governor’s Safety and Health Award recognizes Kentucky’s employers and employees for outstanding safety and health performance in the workplace.
Sekisui Specialty Chemicals (SSC) held its annual Global Business Conference from May 23-25th in Frisco, Texas. Representatives from key departments such as finance, sales, marketing, legal, supply chain, compliance, and HR came together for the two and half day conference to discuss 2018 accomplishments and the upcoming goals for 2019.

Professor Schrock received the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 2005 for his work in the area of olefin metathesis, and has been a Professor of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for many years.
On April 11th, the Material Science and Engineering (MSE) department of Georgia Tech held its 7th Annual Undergraduate and Graduate Poster Competition. This poster competition allows graduate and undergraduate students the opportunity to showcase their research to their peers, the faculty, and industry representatives. Sekisui Specialty Chemicals was a proud sponsor of the event and sent a delegate to serve as a poster judge. Almost 150 visitors stopped by to view the 55 submitted posters and listen to several undergraduate student talks.

I started working for Sekisui in 2013 as the Commercial Director for our European business, then moving to a Global Marketing role 2 years later.
